Do I need prior experience to apply?No! Playfair Consultancy Group recruits applicants based on their displayed qualities of motivation, drive, and problem-solving. Past experience working in consulting, marketing, human resources, and outreach is not necessary to make you a qualified candidate. Our teams are composed of students who specialize in a variety of different subjects including Neuroscience, Economics, Art History, and more. We are looking for applicants who are willing to learn and grow with us!

When do applications open?Semester 1: Late August Semester 2: Early January As our project cycles run on a semesterly basis, we open recruitment to new students at the beginning of each semester. Specific information regarding exact dates that applications open, in addition to any other information about our application process, will be posted to our Instagram page leading up to each recruitment cycle. Make sure to follow @playfairconsultancy group on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all Playfair-related information!

What is the application process like?1. Written Form 2. Interview 3. Case Study The first stage of our application process involves filling out an online application form specialised for the specific team you are looking to apply for. This form must be completed and submitted before the deadline that will be publicised through our social media platforms. The second stage of the process involves an in-person interview with the head of the team you are applying for and a Human Resources member. Thirdly, all applicants will be asked to complete a case study or psychometric test related to the specific team they are applying for. Marketing applicants, for example, will be asked to complete a project brief as part of their application process.

What is the time commitment?3 - 5 hours/week All Playfair members will usually be required to put in anywhere from 3 to 5 hours of work each week. This includes anything from weekly team meetings to client correspondence and independent work assigned by your team leader. Investing time, energy, and commitment to Playfair will help you gain leadership roles within the organisation and allow you to both learn academically and professionally from the experience while also creating lasting relationships with team members.
